Michigan City Chamber accepting nominations for the Annual Education Award

The Michigan City Chamber of Commerce has a history of celebrating local educators and educational programs. A long-time advocate for building our local student base into strong talented individuals, the Michigan City Chamber provides this annual award recognition to honor an educator in the Michigan City area. Presented by Comcast Business this community award recognizes educators or educational programs that have made a significant impact in our community over the last year. “Comcast Business is proud to sponsor the Michigan City Chamber Education Award program again and to recognize the dedicated teachers and other education professionals and programs that have had a profound impact on our children’s futures,” said Jeffrey S. Cobb, Regional Vice President of Comcast Business. “As a son and spouse of educators, this is very important to me personally as well.”

An award winner will be selected from nominations for teachers, program directors, counselors, administrators, or other individuals impacting education in our community. The award is also open to nominations from programming or partnerships that have enhanced or had a significant impact on students.

“Comcast Business is a great partner to work with as we present this community award”, said chamber president, Katie Eaton. “We are excited to again showcase one of the best in the Michigan City.”

An official nomination form provided by the chamber should be used for submissions. Nominations may be submitted by colleagues, students, community members, or anyone with knowledge of a deserving individual or program. Nominations will be accepted through November 4, 2022. A presentation of the award to the selected winner will be scheduled at a during National Education Week, November 14 – 18. Nominations will be kept confidential until a winner is selected by the selection committee.
