Dani Haydell is a Northern Michigan native who moved to Michigan City in spring of 2013 after graduating from Saint Mary’s College with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Writing and Literature. Though her original post-graduation plan was to continue schooling to obtain a master’s degree, Dani ended up falling in love with the world of non-profit development through an internship she had at St. Joseph Parish in South Bend during her last semester at Saint Mary’s. She worked at Marquette Catholic High School as the Director of Development and varsity cross country coach for two and a half years before pursuing her dream of working in higher education. She recently started working at Purdue University Calumet as the Coordinator of Annual Giving Programs.
Dani is very happy to be living close to Lake Michigan again as she loves being at the beach and exploring the trails along the dunes. She also has a passion for running and has completed the Chicago Marathon twice and plans to run it as many times as she can. She is extremely excited to be involved in making Michigan City an even better place to live and visit.
