The Michigan City Chamber of Commerce will host its annual “Inspiring Women” luncheon on October 27, 2021 from 11:30am to 1:00pm at Blue Chip Casino Fremont Event Center. The event is an opportunity to recognize accomplished and successful women for their contributions to their community, the economy, and their selected career field. Speakers and panelists from a variety of backgrounds have participated in this well attended event in the Michigan City area since 2011.

Every year, an industry leader is invited to share their career journey and words of encouragement with attendees. This year’s keynote is Indiana’s Lieutenant Governor, Suzanne Crouch (picture provided). As Lieutenant Governor, Suzanne oversees a portfolio that includes the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA), Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA), Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA), and Office of Tourism Development (IOTD). She also serves as President of the Indiana Senate and chairman of the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Task Force. Prior to her role as Lieutenant Governor, Suzanne has served in a variety of public offices both on a local and state level.

The title sponsor again this year, and for the last decade, is PNC Bank. A representative from PNC Bank will make welcoming remarks and introduce the Lieutenant Governor. Michigan City High School students have again been invited to attend the event as guests of the Michigan City Chamber and its sponsors. “We are grateful to our sponsors who have provided the opportunity for local high school students to sit alongside our business community and enjoy words of inspiration from a successful woman in her career,” stated Chamber President, Katie Eaton.

The luncheon is open to the public and all are encouraged to register. Cost is $25 for Chamber Members and $30 for Non-Members. Registration is required and can be done by calling 219-874-6221 or visiting www.MichiganCityChamber.com to pay and register online. The Michigan City Chamber of Commerce serves to be a resource to its members, businesses, and the community to promote economic growth in the Michigan City area.
