Michigan City Chamber of Commerce Announces Ambassador of the Quarter
The Michigan City Chamber of Commerce (chamber) announced Selah Brooks as the Ambassador of the Quarter for the First Quarter of 2022. Brooks was also the 2021 Ambassador of the Year for the chamber at their recent Annual Dinner and Awards Celebration held in March. “I am honored to be chosen as the Ambassador of the Quarter!” stated Brooks. “I try to live my life by the acronym M.O.R.E.: Motivated, Optimistic, Resilient, Empathetic. I came up with this acronym at a Vision Board Workshop hosted by the chamber and told myself in life if I want more, I must do more.” The Ambassador of the Quarter is given to an individual who has shown dedication to the mission of the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce by regularly attending chamber events, connecting with members through emails, calls, and in person meetings, and referring non-members for membership.
As an Ambassador, Brooks helps to promote the role of the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce in the community by welcoming new members, encouraging current members to maximize their membership and aid in maintaining and increasing the retention rate of new and existing members through reinforcing the Chamber benefits. “We are happy to have Selah as an Ambassador,” stated Membership Director and staff liaison to the Ambassador Committee, Danny Hogan. “Selah is always willing to engage with all members without being asked. He is a true champion of the chamber and proudly serves the chamber with a smile.”
Outside of the Chamber, Brooks is an Account Executive with Duneland Media, a digital marketing agency that assists its clients in the areas of web development, search engine optimization, and digital branding. Brooks is a graduate of La Porte High School who enjoys football, basketball, and chess. He has had a passion for selling since 3rd grade and lives his dream every day.
