The Chamber’s vision is that Michigan City will continue to be a progressive community in which to live, work and invest through partnerships with the business sector and local leadership. Our mission is to be a catalyst for economic growth in our community and for our members through advocacy, education and regional collaborations.
The Chamber’s role as a non-Profit, business membership organization is to support our members and represent them as the voice of business in the community. Advocacy is a key function of the Chamber. Helping to raise the collective voice of business in support of policies that further enhance the business climate in our city is a fundamental part of what we do. The organization works closely with the EDCMC and others on economic development initiatives that foster growth in the region.
Implementing premier networking opportunities by creating meaningful events and programming is what chambers do to promote member businesses. These opportunities range from educational programs , ribbon cuttings and grand openings, and special events to advocacy and business networking. Favorites such as the Annual Golf Outing, the LaPorte County Business Expo and Business after Hours continue, along with several new events like Educator of the Year, New Teachers Luncheon plus many more that round out the 50+ programs we host each year.
